Not publishing with certain frequency will make the users forget us. The lack of time means that many times we are not grateful to the audience. These are some of the mistakes that will lead us to failure in our Social Media strategy.
In the world, there are more than 3 billion active users on social networks. At the national level, there are 25 and a half million users who visit social networks every day. These are data extracted from the Annual Social Networks Study. Of these numbers, we recount that having a presence in these social platforms is not only an option but has become almost an obligation.
However, a part of these companies continues to incur serious errors that direct them towards the precipice. Therefore, in this article, we want to show you 6 serious errors that will lead to the failure of our Social Media strategies :
1: Define an incorrect content strategy
If we only talk about ourselves, about our characteristics or benefits, about how wonderful our products or services are, and we forget what really interests our followers, we will not be attractive. So they will stop following us and, in addition, they will take away a bad image of our brand. Also, we have to avoid sharing incomprehensible content, with misspellings or grammatical errors. And avoid the use of links without description, since nobody will read them if they do not provide information about their content.
2: Low periodicity
If we do not publish with a certain frequency and leave our profiles or pages inactive, we will stop being interesting, our followers will forget us and Google will not take us into account in the search results. The periodicity will be given by the behavior of our audience. A social media strategy must contemplate a daily work since punctual or sporadic actions will not give positive results.
3: null interaction
Social networks are a fantastic platform to generate interaction and engagement with our target audience. However, many companies do not answer the questions or suggestions of their followers and even delete negative comments (which is even worse). In this way, we will not get our clients to feel that we care about their opinions and that we take them into account when making decisions.
4. Not to be grateful
The lack of time means that many times we do not monitor our brand on social networks. In this way, we stop thanking our followers when they share our content or comment on their contributions. The social media strategy must convey a natural and human tone.
5. Forget competition
A very important factor and in which we fall many times is not to follow our competition. Thus, we do not know what they do and what their strategies are on social networks.
6 Abusive use of hashtags or tags
Sometimes we want to cover too much and in the end, we are left with nothing. This happens when we make an abusive use of hashtags and even cheat readers with them.
In short, if we fall into some of the aforementioned errors, we will be taking our Social Media strategy to the precipice.
